If you request a refund Breakaway will offer, as an immediate alternative, a Future Credit Voucher (FCV). FCVs are State Guaranteed and can be exchanged for cash after 12 months. If you decide to retain the voucher after 12 months then vouchers do not have an expiry date and can also be transferred to others upon request.

If I cancel my booking, what form will the refund be in?

How long is the Breakaway Future Credit Voucher (FCV) valid for?
The Breakaway FCV can be used at any time and does not expire.
Vouchers issued for cancellations on bookings with departure dates up to 14th July 2020 can be exchanged for cash after 12 months if not used in part or full. You can also choose to retain the voucher and use it for travel at a later date, with no expiry on the voucher.

Yes. you can transfer the FCV to somebody else. We will require written confirmation from the original voucher holder confirming the transfer. We will also request proof of identity for security reasons.
Are there any restrictions on use of my Future Credit Voucher (FCV)?
The FCV can only be used to book packages to Disneyland Paris through Breakaway. If you booked your original package with a travel agent then the voucher can only be used for a booking through your original travel agent.
The FCV will have a specific value and this can be used against a new booking, in part or in full. There are no restrictions in terms of what package to book or the dates to travel.
When rebooking, do I have to book the same package as originally booked?
No. The Future Credit Voucher will have a specific value. You can book your new package and offset the value of the voucher in part or in full against the new booking(s).
How and when will the refunds be issued?
Refunds are taking a lot longer than normal because the volume of requests is over 1,000% higher than usual. Our administration staffing levels are also operating at less than 20% capacity due to remote working requirements and temporary layoffs.
We would normally have cancellations of between 3%-5% however since mid-March this is now 100% of bookings for arrivals up to 14th July and a significant number for travel after that date.
Approximately 70% of customers who cancel are re-booking for future dates.
As we are operating with reduced staffing levels the majority of our resurces are assigned to customers who are re-booking. This is necessary because some dates are already filling up.
In view of this, and in order to provide our customers with an immediate option, if you request a refund Breakaway will offer you the option to accept a Future Credit Voucher (FCV). FCVs are State Guaranteed and can be exchanged for cash after 12 months. If you decide to retain the voucher after 12 months then vouchers do not have an expiry date and can also be tansferred to others upon request.
FCV’s can be issued quickly and provide our customers with an option to re-book at some point in the future while also providing comfort in the knowledge that their monies are covered by a state guarantee and that they can be refunded if not used after 12 months.
If you do not wish to accept an FCV then we will process your refund at the earliest possible opportunity however this is likely to take a number of months.

Disney have not yet announced their re-opening date, but all bookings with arrivals from 15th July onwards are still confirmed.
As soon as we hear we will be notifying our customers so we recommend you join our mailing list if you haven’t already done so.
What is the policy in place if Disney is still not open by the date I have rebooked for?
